Apple Configurator for iPhone Guide
Here you can find the steps needed to add iPhone, iPad, or Mac computers to Apple School Manager, and into your MDM using Apple Configurator for iPhone. This process works even if the devices were not purchased directly from apple, apple authorized resellers, or cellular carriers. Please ensure you are running the minimum software versions shown above. Here is an example on how to use this tool to enroll a non managed iPad into Apple School Manager. Step 1: Open the App Store on the iPhone (with iOS 16+ for enrolling iPads, refer to above chart). Step 2: Search for "Configurator" and find the Apple Configurator tool published by Apple. Install this application. Step 3: Open the Configurator tool for iPhone, you will need to sign in to this application with a Managed Apple ID. This Managed Apple ID must have a role that allows Apple devices to be assigned to Apple School Manager. These roles include "Administrator" "Site Manager" "Device Enrollment Manager". Step 4: You will need to ensure your iPhone is connected to a network that it will be able to share with the iPad, in order to complete enrollment. I've found that Wi-Fi networks that require sign in, accepting certificates, or isolate devices to a guest segment will not work properly to enroll. I've had success with running the iPhones mobile hotspot in these cases, and letting the app connect from there. Open the settings gear in configurator, and select the "Share Wi-Fi" option. This will share the network credentials your iPhone is connected to with the iPad for setup. This network can be removed later in iPad settings, if needed. Press done in the top left corner of the app. You should now be at the scanning screen with configurator displaying the message "Looking for devices to add..." Step 5: Starting with a new or factory reset iPad (Follow the steps here for factory resets, if needed, this works on windows too https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212787 ), turn on this iPad, and process through the setup assistant until you see the "Choose a Wi-Fi network" screen. You must stop here on the iPad once you reach the select Wi-Fi Screen, if you go past this, you can turn the iPad off and back on to restart the setup assistant. Step 6: Bring your iPhone with the configurator tool still open and 'Looking for Devices...' close to the iPad on the select Wi-Fi screen, after a second or two, you will see the iPad display a moving image and "Add this iPad to your Organization" at the top. Position the circle frame in the Apple Configurator tool over the moving pattern until it scans. You can also do this manually if there is a problem with the iPhone's camera using the configurator tool. Note: If Setup Assistant doesn’t show the pairing pane on the iPhone or iPad you want to add, return to the Home Screen on your iPhone, then tap the Apple Configurator app again. The serial number and other info about this iPad are uploaded to Apple School Manager in this step. Please wait for this process to complete and you see the "iPad Added" screen. Wait to press the "Erase iPad" button until you assign this iPad to an MDM server in Apple School Manager. Step 7: Assign this iPad to an MDM server. (You will need to ensure you've properly configured your MDM, and that it contains enrollment settings and an enrollment profile for the iPad). Sign into Apple School Manager. Select Devices from the sidebar. You should see your new iPad in this list, you can use the filter to show "Devices added by Apple Configurator", search by serial number etc. You may need to refresh the page a few times before the newly added iPad appears. Select the correct iPad, and assign it to your MDM server by pressing "Edit MDM Server". Press continue once you've selected the proper MDM. Step 8: The iPad will need to be restarted once assigned to the MDM. Go back to the new iPad and you can now press the "Erase iPad button". After the iPad resets itself, you should proceed through the setup assistance until the device reaches its "activating" screen. This is where the iPad should pick up on being managed, and you will have some confirmation screens you will need to click to proceed. I've had a few cases where there is quite a bit of "lag" between assigning the MDM, and the iPad actually being assigned. Resetting the iPad after waiting a few minutes and re-starting the setup assistant has resolved this. Congratulations! This newly purchased iPad should now be visible in Apple School Manager, and your MDM.

Fixing displays in the wrong order or wrong main display - Windows 11
If you find that your display is either making the wrong screen the main display or the displays are backwards, it's a pretty quick fix. Follow these few steps to resolve this issue: 1. Right click an empty space on the desktop, then click on the "Display Settings" option. Find the display you need to reorient by clicking the "identify" button. Keep in mind that the number assigned to the monitor does not dictate whether or not the monitor will be your main monitor. Here you'll be able to rearrange displays by clicking and dragging them to wherever you'd like. These changes are only applied after clicking the Apply button, so make sure you do this before closing this window. If you'd like to make a different display your main display, click the "Make this my main display" checkbox.
