Adobe Acrobat is asking me for a serial number
The Problem
When trying to open Adobe Acrobat, after a successful sign in with your Company/School account, you are asked for a serial number.
Solution
You can confirm that you have an active license by attempting to open another program in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite such as Photoshop or by signing in at adobe.com and seeing if it shows you as having access to the suite of products.
You can confirm that you have an active Adobe Creative Cloud license by checking to see if you are able to install applications from the Adobe Creative Cloud App.
1. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud application. If you are not already signed in, sign in. If prompted, select "Sign in with a Company/School Account".
2. In the list of available apps, you should see the option to "Install". If you see the option to install, you should have an Adobe license assigned to your account. If you do not see the option to install apps, you may not have a license installed, in that case, please request an Adobe CC license here.
3. Locate Acrobat DC in the list of installed apps, click the "..." to the right and select "Uninstall".
4. After Installation is completed, find Acrobat DC in the list of available applications to install and select Install.
5. After installation is complete, attempt to open Acrobat DC. You should hopefully no longer be prompted to enter a serial number and should have fully licensed access to the application.
If you are still having issues after following these steps, please submit a ticket and we'll assist you as soon as we're able.
